How CarLink works
For buyers
You can browse the entire marketplace without an account. Search, filter, open any listing, look at every photo, read the specification and read what other buyers have asked.
An account is only needed for four things:
- Seeing a seller's phone number
- Saving a vehicle to your favourites
- Commenting on a listing
- Saving a search so we can email you new matches
Signing in takes one tap with Google. There is no password to create or remember.
Why is the phone number hidden?
It protects sellers from bulk scraping and spam calls. The number is never sent to a browser that is not signed in — it is not hidden with CSS, it simply is not there.
For sellers
Listing is free. Our wizard walks you through vehicle type, specification, location, colour and features, then lets you upload up to twenty photos with drag-and-drop reordering.
Once published, your dashboard shows views, likes, comments, enquiries and how many people revealed your phone number — so you can tell real interest from idle browsing.
Marking a vehicle sold
When you sell, click Mark as Sold. The listing stops appearing as available stock but is kept on record, and everyone who saved it is told. You can delete it permanently at any time.
For dealers
Create a dealer profile from your dashboard and your account becomes a business account. You get a public profile page, a verification badge once we have confirmed your details, and one place to manage all your stock.
Staying safe
- Always inspect a vehicle in person before paying anything
- Check the logbook matches the person selling it
- Never send a deposit to hold a vehicle you have not seen
- Be cautious of prices far below the market — they usually are too good to be true
- Report suspicious listings or comments and our moderators will review them
