What we collect
When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, profile picture and Google account identifier. We do not receive or store your Google password.
If you list a vehicle we also store the contact phone number you provide, together with the details of the listing itself.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account
- To show your listings and seller profile to buyers
- To send the notifications you have switched on
- To recommend vehicles based on what you have viewed and saved
- To keep the marketplace free of spam and fraud
Seller phone numbers
A seller's phone number is only released to signed-in members. It is never included in pages served to visitors who are not signed in. Each reveal is recorded so sellers can see how much genuine interest a listing is attracting.
Behaviour data
We record which vehicles you view, like, save and enquire about so we can recommend relevant listings. These records are stored as vehicle attributes — make, body type, price band, county — rather than as a personal profile, and anonymous activity is keyed to a hashed session identifier only.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, to protect forms against cross-site request forgery, and to remember which vehicles you have recently viewed. We do not use advertising cookies.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. When you send an enquiry, the seller receives the name, email address and phone number you chose to include in that enquiry.
Your rights
You can update your profile and notification preferences at any time from your dashboard, and you can close your account from the settings page. To request a copy of your data or its deletion, email support@algotech.co.ke.
Retention
Listings you delete are retained in a recoverable state for a limited period before permanent removal, so that accidental deletions can be reversed.
